On our farm, we use AgroLiquid fertilizers to give our Fraser firs precise nutrition in a responsible way. Christmas trees need nutrients to thrive, but when applied in excess, fertilizer can move with water into streams and lakes where it causes problems. That’s why we’ve shifted from traditional dry fertilizers to AgroLiquid’s high-efficiency program. By applying a customized nutrient plan during our regular tree applications, the trees receive exactly what they need—without excess being left behind.
Historically, farms have applied fertilizer in a balance that made sense to logistics or operations. Our customized plan now includes nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, calcium, zinc, iron, manganese, boron, and copper – all at strategic levels to optimize tree health.
The difference shows in the trees themselves: richer color, stronger growth, improved natural resistance to disease, and better needle retention thanks to added calcium.
